Helpfulness
Beware! No self repair options from the company.

When the mosquito magnet executive works it does an amazing job. However after a few years of ownership I have had to replace the battery twice and then the board went bad. They do not sell the parts to repair your own mosquito magnet. I was able to find the part I need on their parts website but unless you are a registered repairman for mosquito magnets they will not sell you the part. The closest repair location for me is several states away. The parts is listed at 471.83 (so an expensive part to begin with before the service center marks it up to the point a new unit would make as much sense as shipping it to be repaired and shipped back. I am deeply disappointed with their after sales service options and would highly reccomend finding an alternative to their products. My dad had the patriot model. Same issue. broke and they wont sell the part to fix. BEWARE!
My first non plug in ...

My first non plug in mosquito magnet was purchased over 2 decades ago and worked great, but I gave it to friend when I moved (big mistake). I do not recall it needing a battery, but then again I’m getting old maybe my memory is bad. Bought plug-in version. 6 years ago. We had some minor problems, but it caught thousands of mosquitoes that didn’t bite me. Still works great. Was there changes to the original version?
I have had my executive ...

I have had my executive now since 2023. It has not worked properly since we got it, I had to return after 45 days for warranty repair and then last year the battery wouldn’t last more than a few days. This year it worked for two gas bottles and now it won’t ignite.
I do not recommend it.
I bought 5 executive units ...

I bought 5 executive units last year. I have 10 in total. 4 of the 5 units would not start this season. Luckily they were still under the 1 yr warranty and I had them repaired. They said it was the regulator and hose assembly. I had 3 older executives, 2-3 yrs old, repaired for a cost of over $2,000 dollars. STAY AWAY FROM THESE EXECUTIVE UNITS.
I’m a verified owner of Executive..

I’m a verified owner of Executive. My machine has worked successfully for 11+ yrs. My parents in NE had 3 Patriots covering 3 acres by pool. Zero mosquitos and net full in summer. I invested in Exec due to timer. Chained it to a tree. My husky has allergies to heart meds so I bought to eliminate as best I could the mosquito bite which causes heart worms. He’s 11. No meds, no heart worms. I bought extra batteries (have 2 that still recharge well) to swap them out. Propane tanks from UHaul work best. Rhino tanks not so much. By far a GREAT investment. ???????????????????????? thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Stay away from the Executive! Too many bells and whistles that cause the unit to not last

Owned a Mosquito Magnet Defender for years and loved it. Eventually the plastic pieces broke to the point of being non-reparable. Upgraded to the Executive. Worked the first season but was not reliable. Second season the battery would drain overnight and had to replace every morning. after a month of this I created a wired plug to run it from. Worked great for the rest of that season. This season it will light but go off immediately. For the amount of money one of these costs, it should run for more than one season. Of course, it ran fine for the one-year warranty and to mail it in for repairs isn't worth it. I used to talk up these units to everyone but now it's the opposite. Very upset with the lack of quality.
I have the Executive model.

I have the Executive model. My carriage broke and have been told that they don’t have replacement carriages. So a $20 plastic part makes my $800 equipment useless. My advice is to look for another product.
I have the Executive trap ...

I have the Executive trap - loved it for a few years and worked like a charm, then it stopped. Troubleshot it and got a new battery - that worked for about a month then it stopped working again! I had to replace the batteries every month for 6 months! (and they're not cheap either!). I've ordered a new battery - still waiting for it. Now we're in the height of the season here in New England. I'm giving it one more try with another new battery. Wish me luck!
I am a mosquito magnet.

I am a mosquito magnet. I have used the Executive machines for many years and they work very well or I would not be able to work in my large yard here in Florida. They do need to be cleaned thoroughly every year especially in my dusty environment but you can send it in for a very reasonably fee to have it "reconditioned". Two are always running during the summer months but if the winter is dry I do not run them. Put them inside if you are not using them for the season. Also, you can reuse the netted traps two or three times - a little hard to clean out but it can be done.
You will need a new battery every 3 - 4 years. It is part of the cost of running the cordless ones.
It is hard to do without these machines. I have tried other types and brands and found them all useless. Cost is not the objet here, getting rid of mosquitos is the issue and no other products do it for me.
I had a Liberty model ...

I had a Liberty model that lasted a significant amount of time with one repair in 10 years. I thought I would try the Executive for the new style net and battery powered so no annoying cord. Well I wasted my money as shortly after my warranty expired, my display stopped functioning correctly. I was able to continue using it but never knew the status. Now one season later, the battery has died. Don’t waste your money, very disappointed.
