I have the Executive trap - loved it for a few years and worked like a charm, then it stopped. Troubleshot it and got a new battery - that worked for about a month then it stopped working again! I had to replace the batteries every month for 6 months! (and they're not cheap either!). I've ordered a new battery - still waiting for it. Now we're in the height of the season here in New England. I'm giving it one more try with another new battery. Wish me luck!

I am a mosquito magnet. I have used the Executive machines for many years and they work very well or I would not be able to work in my large yard here in Florida. They do need to be cleaned thoroughly every year especially in my dusty environment but you can send it in for a very reasonably fee to have it "reconditioned". Two are always running during the summer months but if the winter is dry I do not run them. Put them inside if you are not using them for the season. Also, you can reuse the netted traps two or three times - a little hard to clean out but it can be done. You will need a new battery every 3 - 4 years. It is part of the cost of running the cordless ones. It is hard to do without these machines. I have tried other types and brands and found them all useless. Cost is not the objet here, getting rid of mosquitos is the issue and no other products do it for me.

I had a Liberty model that lasted a significant amount of time with one repair in 10 years. I thought I would try the Executive for the new style net and battery powered so no annoying cord. Well I wasted my money as shortly after my warranty expired, my display stopped functioning correctly. I was able to continue using it but never knew the status. Now one season later, the battery has died. Don’t waste your money, very disappointed.

We had one of the original models at our last property and it worked very marginally. Always some mosquitoes in the trap, but ALWAYS enough out of the trap where I would still get mauled. The unit eventually was more of a headache to keep diagnosing and running, so we trashed it. I am a Mosquito Magnet myself and I get crazy bad reactions to every single bite and am tempted to buy another unit or two now that they are newer (presumably improved models), but a measly 1 year warranty on something that’s over $800 each is a joke. If they would really believe in their own product, they would stand behind it longer. Not worth the risk. $1600 buys a lot of DEET which I spray on my clothing. Still waiting for that miracle product. Professional fogging worked the best thus far.

This thing is awesome when it works and is placed in the right spot. I'm on year three. I've gone through one battery, which was replaced under warranty. The propane connection is temperamental which can be a little annoying to troubleshoot, unscrew the connection and screw it back in, then start it up. Rinse and repeat. That's the only reason it doesn't get the full 5 stars.

My machine is 6 years old , 3rd year in shop for repair , not working again , would like to buy a new one but can not justify price knowing the machine will have issues in 2 years, have been very careful with the machine each season cleaning and putting it away , i have the executive which is now over 800.00 new , the machine does well for field mosquito’s not so good for the tiger mosquito’s , think the fan system to weak , your thought’s ,

I have been a huge fan of the mosquito magnet, I have purchased my 3rd one in 16 years. When they work they are well worth the money. This last purchase went on for over six month and I had 3 executive traps sent to me, the 1st one was DOA, the 2nd one was lost in a UPS warehouse and the they were out of traps and I waited over six months to get the 3rd one. This one will work some days and others I just keep getting the 7 second interval red LED. I will reset it 5, 6, 7 times and then it will stay lit for a week and then go out and I have to light it again sometimes 10 to 15 times and then work for a week and then goes out again, I’m about to send this thing back

Stop working after a week. Bought it to have the yard clear for the 4th. Sent it back for repair last week...now, we wait. This shouldn't happen with an $800 device.

Love the trap, this is my third one since 2005. The first two lasted about 6 - 7 years each, I hope this one lasts 10 years!
