Works, but why so expensive?

Does the job, better design than the original as others have said. But... why does a little piece of plastic have to cost $10? Plus: non-green alert: Our little cap came in a small plastic bag, which was in a small cardboard box, which was in a nearly shoebox-sized cardboard shipping box filled with plastic film cushioning. A 6x9 bubble wrap mailing envelope would have been enough!
New improved screw cap

This new cap is the bomb. The old cap you needed a coin or a screwdriver to remove and even then it was difficult to remove. This new cap unscrews with the twist of your fingers. I have the defender and the cap was always a problem and finally it broke. And my defender still after all these years, defends us from mosquitos. Thanks for a great product.

It works but the one I got in the mail is not the same as the one pictured for sale. For $6.99 it should be!

This product comes in two different styles. However, both styles are universal and both will fit all versions of the Mosquito Magnet®. Even if your cap isn't lost or broken, this is a nice upgrade for older units (like my Defender). You needed to use a tool to rotate and remove the old cap design (a screwdriver or pliers, or maybe a coin), whereas this newer design has large finger-friendly grip surfaces (no tools required).

I purchased a mosquito magnet defender and I think it’s missing the part where the attractant goes in. I don’t know if it’s just a cap or a cylinder that screws in or out do I just buy the cap or the attractant fits in it and push it in there?
