These attractants work better than any naturals I have used.
We live in the Interior of Alaska where mosquito's might as well be a bird of prey! They are BIG and thick and come out, with snow still on the ground in March. We bought a Patriot Plus and installed it per the directions and it started to make a difference within 12 hrs. Its now day 3 and I can walk out into my yard and not be swarmed by those little monsters! Its still not completely free of mosquito's but its a VERY NOTICEABLE difference! So if you are on the fence about buying one, I'd recommend it highly! It is an expensive piece of equipment but the monthly cost to operate it is far less than having a service come spray your yard. Well worth the investment!!!!

Mosquito magnets do work. I am allergic to mosquitos and could not be outside on my property without them.

I have used mosquito magnets for years and they absolutely work. This is the first time I purchased the Patriot Plus model which is the model that needs to be plugged in. We needed one for our vacation home and our property there is much smaller so we have access to an electrical socket. This model is easy to put together (as is the non plug in version) and started quickly. I saw mosquitos in the trap within a couple of hours. I believe this unit will be easier for continuous use since you do not need batteries to start it when you need to change the tank.
It works! The Lurex is what I've read we should be using in NE Florida but can't find it. The R-Octenol does a good job. My husband loves checking the trap.
Wish the price would come down.
The R-Octenol is by far the best attractant for the Mosquito Magnet. The difference without it is amazing. I have 2 units on my property here in the Maine woods. I have no problem being out with these running. I would highly recommend the R-Octenol for anyone who is highly a target for mosquitoes.
