Mosquito Magnet® Lurex3™ - 6 Pack
The right attractant can turn your Mosquito Magnet® into an even more powerful mosquito killing device. If you live in the Southern regions of the U.S. or in Hawaii, where the main types of biting insect pests include the day-biting Asian Tiger Mosquito and other mosquito species as well as no-see-ums and black flies, the Lurex3™ Refill Twin Pack is an effective as well as economical way to ensure you are getting the most out of your trap and providing your family with maximum protection against flying pests.
Mosquito Magnet® Lurex3™, a patent-pending mosquito attractant, mimics naturally occurring human skin scents and odors that attract mosquitoes. It has been designed for use with all Mosquito Magnet® Traps.
The EPA-registered Mosquito Magnet® Lurex3™ is proven to attract the Asian Tiger Mosquito. It also attracts other species of mosquitoes that may transmit diseases such as West Nile Virus, Encephalitis, and Heartworm.
Increase your catch rate up to 10 times!
Using a secondary attractant is critical to the performance of your Mosquito Magnet® trap, as the right attractant can dramatically increase the trap's ability to lure flying pests. Once mosquitoes sense the carbon dioxide from the Mosquito Magnet®, they need secondary attractants, Octenol or Lurex3™, to hone in on the trap.
Choose the Right Attractant for your Region
Using the proper secondary attractant is proven to increase your mosquito catch rate by up to 10 times. These attractants lure mosquitoes to the trap by mimicking human skin scents and other natural odors.
Mosquito Magnet® attractants are the only brand to be EPA-registered and proven effective. This buying guide assists you in making the right decision based on your location and other factors.

Review RateHoping it gets better
The unit has been running for almost two months. I have moved the placement but still not catching anything. We are still battling with candles and bug spray. Hope it gets better. North carolinaResponse From Mosquito Magnet®Elizabeth : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for letting us know! Lurex3® is the recommended attractant for North Carolina. However, if you live on the coast, Octenol will be the better choice. We would like to learn more about your yard layout in order to provide a placement recommendation. You may also find our Interactive Placement Assistant helpful. Review RateCatching more than before
This attractant is working a way better than the one it came with. We are catching more mosquitoes than before. I hope in the next month it will slow down our kids getting bitten.

Review RateLures don't fit trap.
The lure falls out of the trap easily. I've had a lot of problems with this trap in general.Response From Mosquito Magnet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback! The clips on the lure is the only part that should be inserted into the trumpet area. Once inserted, turn 1/4 turn and it should click right into place.

Review RateCouldn't survive without it!
My Mosquito Magnet has ALWAYS performed perfectlyl In fact, living in a South Carolina wooded area, on a pond, summer would have been unbearable without it. It rolls out of the garage late in the spring every year (for the past decade or so). Very nice to be able to order any supplies I need on-line. THANK YOU!
Review RateYes for Lurex3
Lurex3 is the most effective attractant for south Texas.
Review RateGreat product.
I had a Patriot in the mountains in Colorado, in the appropriately named Mosquito Mountain Range. It worked very well in keeping the mosquito population to a minmum. Now I live on the west coast of Florida with a “preserve” in my back yard which is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. I bought the Independence and it is really doing to job! We can actually sit outside in the evening. I only wish it would do a better job on the no-see-us.
Review RateNot a great product
After 5 weeks there is no change in the number of mosquitos.Response From Mosquito Magnet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience. Having proper placement is essential to having a good mosquito catch. The trap must be placed upwind of a suspected mosquito breeding site and between that breeding site and the zone you’re trying to protect.
