battery problems By Jack

Recharged my new battery and it ran the machine for about 24 hours and shut off again, Recharged it again and it did the same thing. Third times the charm, I guess, because it has been running properly. Frustrating to the max. I expected Mosquito Magnet to respond to my first query after the battery didn't hold a charge but they didn't. Perhaps you need to recharge 3 times ?

Poor battery? By Marcus

This is second battery and our magnet will not keep running. Runs for about 15seconds then shuts off giving the word “attention “ with low battery symbol. Guess the problem may be iin the head instead of battery?

takes time to properly place mosquito magnet. By jd

i live in an area that is windy. the placement of the mosquito magnet was importment. I found that if I put it in an area that was exposed to the wind it would shut down as if it were not getting the propane it needed. I placed it in an area that was protected by the wind. it has worked properly since.

The battery wasn't the issue By Hud

The unit needs better water proofing. We have had some torrential rains here in San Antonio and the unit got waterlogged. After it dried out it worked for awhile and then quit indicating a battery issue. I bought a new battery but it wouldn't hold a charge once installed in the machine but the old battery would. Now neither the old battery or the new one will last more than five minutes which indicates to me something has shorted out.

4th battery in 10 yrs. last 3-4 seasons. By Tom

Battery works as described. This is my 4th battery in 10 yrs. After 3-4 yrs they don't hold a charge and need to be replaced.

Q.Can this replacement battery be charged while plugged in to my Liberty Plus machine or do I need to purchase the separate charger?

The replacement batteries should be charged using our plug in charger.

Q.In order to recharge battery does one use 1.8A or 0.9A setting?
A.

To charge the battery, we recommend using the Mosquito Magnet® Remote Battery Charger (MM120033). The battery simply plugs into the charger. Please contact us at 1-800-953-5737 with any questions.

Q.What is the voltage supposed to read on a fully charged battery for the Executive model?
A.

The charged battery will have approximately 4.8 volts.
