ATRAKTA® Mosquito Attractant Pods use natural and powerful scents to add an additional lure to your trap. Utilizing a combination of Lactic Acid, Octenol, and Ammonium Bicarbonate, the pods draw mosquitoes away from you and into your trap. How to Use
To use ATRAKTA® Mosquito Attractant Pods, simply open the package, pierce the foil in the cap and insert the pod with adaptor into the trap’s attractant receptacle at the plume tube. If using with a mosquito trap other than Mosquito Magnet®, simply open the package, pierce the foil in the cap and place the pod in the catch basket.

Used with Mosquito Magnet® Traps or any outdoor mosquito trap to attract mosquitoes.
Been running this for about 2 weeks now. Caught about 1 tablespoon of mosquitos. Moved it to another location, replaced cartridge, and will see what it does now. So far, it is a colossal waste of money.
I've had Mosquito Magnets for 16 years, with the previous Lurex 3 attractant the system was regularly full of dead mosquitos. With Atrakta I can run it a month and have two or three mosquitos in the trap while battling continuous bites. This stuff does not attract mosquitos in Arizona! I'm going to try Octenol and see if it works better.
I recently purchased and set up the Patriot Plus. Two stars for two reasons:
First, the attractant cartridge recommended by MM on their page for ordering the Patriot Plus (Atrakta) does not fit into the holder. The diameter of the cartridge is larger than the well diameter. I purchased two packs for the discount, which isn't cheap. However, it appears I cannot use them and may have wasted my money.
Second, your 360 Customer Support is actually only 257 since they are unavailable over the weekend.
Otherwise, setup is simple. I'll be running without attractant until I find out the issue with these attractant cartridges.
I use these in rotation with the Octenol attractants. I run my Mosquito Magnet year-round here on Johns Island near Charleston. The Atrakta lures add another level to pulling in the no-see-ums as well as mosquitos.
This attractant really works for the Houston Texas area. Otherwise the mosquitoes are swarming around me, literally. They ran out one time so went to Amazon to get something similar to Atrakta but it did not work at all.
Mosquito Magnet is allowing us to enjoy our Florida outdoors without the pests!

I am a believer in the Mosquito Magnet! We live remotely in Florida where mosquitoes are a common pest. I check our Mosquito Magnet a few times a week and there are always mosquitoes and pesky gnats in the trap. It makes enjoying our home much more bearable!

I have tried many years Octanols, but they don't work very well in Spain. My first experiences with Atrakta are very promising. It really works. In 16 days I can find thousends of black flies. Great!
What attractants work best for no-see-ums here in South Georgia.

Please note that Mosquito Magnet® Octenol Attractants are best suited for use in northern and central U.S. regions, as well as Canada. For your location in South Georgia, the ATRAKTA® pods included with your trap should be sufficient and effective for attracting no-see-ums and other biting insects common to the region.

Is the Mosquito Magnet effective against ceratopogonidae?
Is the product still made by American Biological?

This product is designed to attract mosquitoes. Since ceratopogonidae are considered biting midges and fall under the category of flying insects, it is possible that they may be attracted to the trap as well.
Regarding whether the product is still made by American Biological, we currently do not have detailed information on that. However, please note that we are the current manufacturer of this product.
