Understanding that for the Mosquito Magnet Patriot Plus, a 20 (twenty) pound tank is the required weight for the necessary propane tank to be purchased separately, does the “shape” and/or “size” of the propane tank itself have any specific specs that need to be met?
Question by: Denise Fertitta, RN on Jun 7, 2019, 8:00 PM
As long as the propane tank is 20 lbs, the shape or physical size of the tank does not matter, our traps are all inclusive.

Is this machine safe around honeybees? We raise honeybees on our 1 acre property.
Question by: Ashley on Jun 9, 2019, 8:00 PM
The CO2 emitted by our Mosquito Magnet® traps and secondary attractants used with the traps have not been shown to be attractive to honeybees. We recommend placing the trap away from active hives, as if a bee were to investigate the trap closely, there is the potential that they could be pulled inside.

If an animal for example a bear comes by to investigate and knocks the unit over will it turn off automatically or stop the propane ignition cycle. If this happens can the unit cause a fire in the woods. Thank you.

Can the unit be run on a electrical timer to use less propane?
Question by: Guillaume on May 1, 2021, 8:00 PM
This trap is designed to run 24/7 to help control the mosquitro population. We do not recommend turning the unit off and back on or connecting it to a timer to save the propane life.
