Description

Product Description:

Fruit Fly TrapA familiar problem for most homeowners, fruit flies are commonly spotted swarming around kitchen fruit bowls and near garbage storage areas. Don’t let these annoying pests get the best of you — get rid of them with our fast-acting fruit fly apple trap.

The TERRO® Fruit Fly Traps lure adult fruit flies into the trap using a non-toxic, food-based liquid lure. Once the flies enter the trap, they cannot escape to continue breeding and multiplying. And better yet, gone are the days of unsightly traps — this attractive, apple-shaped fruit fly trap looks right at home in any kitchen.

How to Trap Fruit Flies

All stages of a fruit fly infestation depend on moist organic debris to complete the fruit fly life cycle. The non-toxic vinegar found in the fruit fly apple trap lures the flies to the traps and eliminates the infestation. Within a few days of placing the trap near a breeding source, you should see a significant decrease in the number of fruit flies — and might find yourself humming, “Shoo fly, don’t bother me.”

Easy Activation: Simple as 1-2-3

Simple ActivationYou won’t find an easier trap to use. Activate the fruit fly apple trap by pulling the leaf-like lid off the base of the trap and exposing the vapor chamber. Empty the liquid lure into the fruit fly trap, keeping the lid open while the trap is in use. Place the trap in an area where fruit flies have been seen and where it won’t be disturbed or tipped over.

Locate Breeding Areas

Breeding GroundThe key to successful elimination of fruit flies is to locate their breeding source and place a TERRO® Fruit Fly Trap nearby. Fruit flies are commonly spotted swarming around kitchen fruit bowls and near garbage storage areas. Place fruit fly traps behind or under kitchen counters, sinks, dishwashers, near unrefrigerated fruits and vegetables, and any other location where fruit is stored.

No more Fruit Flies!! By Terry the grump
The miniature apple container is cute and attractive - it fits in anywhere. While this is good, the best thing is that there are no more fruit flies in our house. They were driving us crazy, but no more! This REALLY works!! Buy it - you won't be sorry.

It Really Works! By Daniel B
I'm the maintenance guy at my church, and it seemed like we always had fruit flies buzzing around our trash cans. I had tried fly tape in the past, and though it worked some, as we all know, it was very unattractive. I wasn't sure how well these "apple traps" would work, so even though we have a big building, I only bought four of them just to see if they would do the job.
And they sure did! I put them out on a Saturday. That next Sunday morning when I came to church, I peeked inside. Hmm. I didn't see much. Then I looked at the bottom of the apple where all the juice is, and there were lots of dead fruit flies floating around in the first apple I checked.
Not only do these traps greatly help abate our fruit fly problem, but they also help us diagnose which areas are more prone to infestation. If an apple doesn't have any or many fruit flies in it, then I know that I can move that apple somewhere else where it is needed.
    I like them apples!
