(3) Mosquito Magnet® Defender/Patriot Nets
Nets that are clogged with dead mosquitoes, spiders, pollen and dust will have an adverse effect on the vacuum’s ability (airflow) of your Mosquito Magnet® Defender/Patriot trap and prevent it from working at its best.
Start each season with a new Mosquito Magnet® Defender/Patriot Net and replace every 21 days or sooner if neccesary. The rigid bag is self-contained, allowing for easy disposal and replacement. Whether constructed with rigid nets or nets with drawstrings, our self-contained nets eliminate any direct contact with the dead insects.
(3) Mosquito Magnet® Octenol Cartridges
The EPA registered Mosquito Magnet® Octenol is a secondary attractant the mimics human breath, drawing mosquitoes and biting insects to the trap. Mosquito Magnet® Octenol attracts most mosquito species, including salt marsh mosquitoes, as well as no-see-ums and black flies. It will lure biting insects to the Mosquito Magnet® trap where they are captured, then dehydrate and die.
Who should use Mosquito Magnet® Octenol? People who live in northern & coastal regions should use Octenol to attract mosquitoes, no-see-ums and black flies.
The Mosquito Magnet® Octenol cartridge should be replaced every 21 days. After 21 days of use, the cartridge appears the same; however, it will no longer be effective as the Octenol will have been released. The catch rate will be reduced if the attractant is not changed.
(3) Mosquito Magnet® QuickClear Cartridges
Don't let dirt, dust or contaminates clog your Mosquito Magnet® fuel line - If this happens, it will prevent your trap from working properly! The Mosquito Magnet® QuickClear Cartridge should be used after every tank change for optimal trap performance. Without this proprietary feature, the nozzle could clog due to contaminants in the propane. It is also recommended for use before seasonal storage to avoid build up of contaminants during the off-season.
