I remember my grandfather using these traps when I was a little kid, some 35 years ago.
I recently saw our mouse in our garage.
I went to a local home improvement store to get a couple traps. To my surprise they did not have any of the classic metal pedal traps.
I reluctantly purchased another brand with the large yellow plastic pedal.
I set two of them in the garage with peanut butter smeared on and checked them the next day.
When I looked at the traps, I had no mouse and no peanut butter.
I then purchased two of the new spin type traps and set those. After 2 days nothing.
So, I reset the plastic pedal traps. The next day. Spin traps not touched. Plastic pedal traps, peanut butter gone again, still NO mouse.
All the while my wife and daughter have been asking everyday, "Did you catch the mouse?"
Because they will not park in the garage until I catch it.
Then my daughter and I went to another store to get some lawn care products.
To my delight I saw a 4 pack of the Victor metal pedal snap traps.
I immediately bought them and told my daughter, "Now watch what happens."
I left all the other traps baited and in place.
I set out 2 of the Victor traps next to the others, around 10 pm.
I awoke the next day around 6 am. Opened the garage door.
The peanut butter was gone from the plastic pedal trap again. The spin trap did not spin, and the new Victor trap had a dead mouse in it. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Now that is a perfect side-by-side field test.

I'm VERY impressed with your mousetraps, as we were able to rid our house of several creatures! The directions on the packaging though were a little hard to understand, and after a while of not catching anything in my traps (but seeing the "bait" I put out disappear), I finally had to look at a Youtube video to understand how to properly set them. So if you could please improve the wording of the directions or give a clearer picture as to how it should look when it's set, that would be great! Thanks for making a great product, and I agree with the other reviews, please don't stop making the original metal step trap!
