Independent Testing on Mosquito Magnet® Traps
Independent tests have proven that the Mosquito Magnet® is more effective and captures more types of biting insects and mosquitoes than any other mosquito traps on the market. Following is a summary of the studies, with the full tests available for download.
Hawaii, Aug/Sep 2004
Five commercially available mosquito traps were compared. The Mosquito Magnet® with Lurex3™ as the secondary attractant, performed significantly better than all other traps tested for collecting total Culicidae. All Mosquito Magnet® products utilizing Lurex3™ collected significantly more Aedes albopictus than the competitor trap using octenol.
21 Mosquito Magnet® traps were placed along the nature trail in an effort to reduce mosquito populations. The traps had a very significant impact on the mosquito populations on Atsena Otie.
Eight commercially available mosquito traps were compared. The Mosquito Magnet® Liberty and Mosquito Magnet® Liberty Plus, both utilizing Octenol as the additional attractant, performed significantly better than all other traps tested.
Seven commercially available mosquito traps were compared. The Mosquito Magnet® Liberty and Liberty Plus performed significantly better than all other traps tested.

U.S. Coast Guard, Bahamas

This warranty, (1) year from the purchase of the unit, is extended only to the original purchaser/user of products.
Woodstream Corp. warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period by the original purchaser/user.

If Woodstream Corp. determines there may be a defect, Woodstream Corp. will issue a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number. The defective unit or parts must be returned for warranty inspection using the RGA number, when applicable, as identification within (30) days of return authorization date. DO NOT return products to our factory without our prior consent, as they, as well as C.O.D. shipments will be refused. Woodstream Corp., at its option, shall replace the unit, replace the defective part(s) and return such unit to you. Woodstream Corp.'s sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under this warranty shall be limited to such replacement.
Limitations and Exclusions:
The warranty shall not apply to problems arising from normal wear, or failure to adhere to the enclosed instructions. In addition, the foregoing warranty shall not apply to serial numbered products if the serial number has been removed or defaced; products subject to negligence, accident, improper operation, maintenance or storage; products damaged by circumstances beyond Woodstream Corp.'s control; or products modified (including, but not limited to modifications through the use of unauthorized parts or attachments) or repaired by anyone other than Woodstream Corp. or its designee.
The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. It shall not extend beyond the duration of the express warranty provided herein, and the remedy for violations of any warranty shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product pursuant to the terms contained herein. Woodstream Corp. shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages whatsoever.

Maximizing the Performance of Your Mosquito Magnet® Liberty Plus Trap
Here are some helpful bits of advice to help you keep your Mosquito Magnet® trap performing at its peak 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Trap Placement
Proper placement of your Mosquito Magnet® is crucial to its success. If placed correctly, mosquitoes will be drawn to the Mosquito Magnet® trap instead of you.
Using an attractant is critical to the performance of your Mosquito Magnet®. The choice of which attractant to use depends upon where you reside in the U.S.
We have 2 ½ acres in the woods near the intra-coastal waterways in Charleston, South Carolina and have never been able to enjoy the outdoors due to the massive amount of gnats and mosquitoes.
In May, we purchased the Liberty Plus model because of the cordless function. We hooked up the machine and set it out about 3:00 PM on a Friday and by 5:00 PM there must have been at least 3000 gnats and mosquitoes captured in the net. We checked the net again the next morning, and the whole net was nothing but a solid brown color – at least 5000 to 10,000 gnats and mosquitoes had filled the net!
The Mosquito Magnet® has made a wonderful difference. We are now able to do yard work and enjoy the great outdoors again. I would recommend this machine to anyone.

Mean Maine mosquitoes show no mercy - we were prisoners behind our screened-in porch but longed to go outside. Our two Liberty Plus units have helped us enjoy the outdoors again. Gardening is fun now that we don't have to swat mosquitoes or suffer bites, and we don't have to stay underwater for fear that flying pests will bite the instant our head comes up in the pool.
