Why is the firm conducting this recall?
We are conducting this recall to prevent a possible risk of injury by replacing the L-shaped Quick-Clear Valve adapter.
How can I tell if my trap is affected by the recall?
You will have an L-shaped adapter. The adapter is a black and gold, L-shaped, brass and plastic device. The adapter would have been packaged with the trap, but is not permanently attached to the trap itself. If your trap has a rechargeable battery it is not included in this recall.
How can I take advantage of the recall?
Fill out the Recall Replacement Form or call our toll free number, (800) 953-5737, and we will ship you a replacement adapter.
What is the problem with the L-shaped Quick-Clear Valve Adapter?
When used to inject pressurized carbon dioxide (CO2) gas to clean an obstructed fuel line in certain Mosquito Magnet® insect traps, the adapter may leak or break apart at the "elbow" joint between the brass and plastic portions.
My L-shaped Quick-Clear Adapter appears to be operating okay. Can I continue to use it?
We recommend using the replacement adapter on your Mosquito Magnet® trap.
Should I send back or throw away my L-shaped adapter?
You do not need to send your L-shaped adapter to anyone and do not have to throw it away. However, we advise you not to use it on the Mosquito Magnet® Quick-Clear Valve.
I no longer have the receipt for the product. May I still request a replacement adapter?
Yes. You may still request a replacement adapter without a receipt.
How long will it take for me to receive the replacement adapter?
Please allow 2-3 weeks from the date you contacted us. We apologize for any inconvenience, and assure you we are working as quickly as possible to provide you with the replacement adapter.
